Offline

I'm just dropping by to wish everyone a meaningful Holy Week.

Lyndon Speaks will be offline for a couple of weeks as it prepares for the Big Move.

Watch out for the new Lyndon Speaks. For now, enjoy reading my previous posts.

I'll surely miss all of you. But that's the way life is. Change is inevitable. Everything changes and Lyndon Speaks is no different. But let me assure you that the changes that would transpire in the following weeks will bring your reading and surfing experience up to the next level.

I guess that would be all. Thanks for the 8 months that all of you shared with me. More months to come -> and that's for sure!

'til then. Lyndon Speaks is now logging off. Bye!

Work 1.5

1.5 years at work..

Celebrate with me as I turn a year and a half old at work. Welcome back to Lyndon Speaks!

Yes guys! 1.5 years of working experience, and still counting. I guess that I'll be enjoying what I'm doing and the rewards that I'm reaping for a very long period of time.

I have nothing more to share. I hope that with my own little way and simple achievement, I have inspired you to work hard and enjoy everything that you are doing.

Kudos to me and to all those who are enjoying their jobs!

Thanks for sharing a piece of your busy time with me. Ta-ta for now!

Fastened

A 16-minute ride from Makati to San Pedro, Laguna - made possible by Seth.

Welcome back to Lyndon Speaks.

I'm just dropping by to say hello to everyone! I have nothing much to share with you this night because nothing great had happened awhile ago. Hmmm, let me rephrase that to - nothing good, or better - nothing had transpired awhile ago. That's more like it! Yeah, NOTHING! hehehe..

Let me just rewind to last Friday night. Last Friday night, Michael, Niña, Leah, Seth, and I went to TJ's place for a dinner. TJ's mom prepared a lot of delicious food and when I mean delicious, it was really yummy! Thanks TJ, for the great dinner. After some chats and those sumptuous meals, we all went home and Seth gave us all a ride. We dropped Michael along EDSA Quezon Ave. (I think), and, Niña and Leah both went down at Niña's place in Makati. From Makati, Seth and I reached Laguna in just 16 minutes. You got that right! SIXTEEN MINUTES!!! hahaha.. I fastened my seat belt really tightly just to make sure that I won't be thrown out of the car. hahaha.. But you can be assured that nothing bad happened to me and to Seth because if there was, I would not be here posting this blog. hahaha.

So I guess that would be all for tonight. See you all tomorrow and I just hope that we will all have a great day ahead of us!

Fasten on!

Birthday U.B.E.

Japes, JP, Julius - you really made my day!

Another round of Lyndon Speaks.

I just had a very boring day at the office. Nothing much had happened, nothing great, nothing good, just a plain boring day. Good thing that my U.B.E.-mates are always there to lighten up my day, to cheer me when I am down (hahaha). At last, our long-planned part "Nth" U.B.E. transpired awhile ago. And it wasn't just any other U.B.E., it was a birthday U.B.E. - still a part of my 23rd birthday celebration. We had our U.B.E. at the place that started it all - Starbucks Valero. I'll not go into the details of our little get-together. Hmmmm, "little get-together"? Little - maybe, great - truly!

I guess that would be all for now. I'd like to thank JP for... for... for... Waaaaa.. I'd like to thank JP for all the stories and IMs.. hahaha. Thanks to Julius for always being there, hehehe. And to peborit Japes, thanks for the fun times and laughters (and asaran), hahaha..

Besides from the many good reasons I have to thank for during the last 22 years of my stay here on Earth, I just really am glad and grateful to have met people like Japes, JP, and Julius.

'til tomorrow!

Birthday U.B.E. on!

Post Birthday Celebration

The celebration continues..

Welcome back to Lyndon Speaks!

After the celebration I had last night with my family, I had lunch with my close friends at work awhile ago. JP, Julius, Niña, Leah, TJ, Mai, Michael, of course peborit Japes, and I had our lunch at my favorite place (that's according to Japes) - Teriyaki Boy - to celebrate my 23rd birthday. As usual, a lot of food were served together with a lot of fun stories.

I'd like to take this chance to thank them for making my post birthday celebration a blast and one to be remembered for another 23 or more birthdays that I'll have.

My birthday celebration is almost complete. Just a few add-ons (like a birthday U.B.E. with my U.B.E.-mates) and it would really really be a rocking birthday!

I guess that would be all for tonight. See you all tomorrow. And let me just say something out of the topic: Danny Gokey rocks! Danny Gokey is the next American Idol! hehehe..

'til then!

Post Bday on!

My 23rd

My special day. Thanks everyone!

Welcome back to Lyndon Speaks.

Yes guys, I just had my 23rd, my 23rd birthday! Another year has ended and another year has come to a start. This is really a start of something new. A lot has transpired this day - from the usual day at work, greetings from friends through SMS, YM, and Facebook - all of these really made my 23rd a special one. My day ended with my family (parents, grandma, aunts, uncle, and cousins) and with the great dinner.

This 23rd is definitely one to be remembered. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who extended their warmest greetings for me. Thanks to my parents and to grandma. Thanks to my aunts - Tita Alotte and Tita Lennie - for the early greetings. Thanks to Aldrie and Ate Janis for the early morning greetings awhile ago. And to everyone who made my special day a lot more special through their simple but very meaningful greetings - thanks, thanks, and thanks!

I guess that would be all for tonight. Happy Birthday to me!!!

23rd on!

Is Laughter Really the Best Medicine

Do you believe in the cliché that laughter is the best medicine?

I'm back and welcome to Lyndon Speaks.

We had our quarterly (it's supposed to be a monthly.. hehehe) General Assembly awhile ago at the roof deck of a hotel in Makati (sorry, I forgot the name of the hotel. hehehe). A lot was served which includes company updates, stories, inspirational messages, food, drinks, beer, and laugh trips. Yeah right, our jaws were so much stressed because of those laugh trips brought to us by Seth. His wit and his "double-meaning" jokes made us (TJ, Michael, Niña, Leah, and me) laugh our lungs out. hahaha..

With that, a question came into my mind. Is laughter really the best medicine? Can laughter cure all the pains, heartaches, and other bad stuffs that you are feeling? Maybe some would answer yes. But is it really laughter? Or is it that one thing or that one person who makes you laugh?? What do you think? Just my two cents. hahaha..

What I think is: that's it for tonight (hahahaha). See you all tomorrow as I share with you my special day. Thanks for sharing your time with me. 'til then.

Laugh Trip on!

So Good to be Back

Join me as Lyndon Speaks celebrates its 8th month in Blogspot and as I celebrate my 23rd year on Earth.

Welcome back to Lyndon Speaks.

Or maybe that greeting was meant for me. hahaha. After a month of being away here in blogspot, here I am, again, ready to share the latest happenings in my life, insights, and reviews. I haven't been here in awhile because of some events that transpired which I will share to all of you a little later.

Before everything else, let me present to you this month's site update. In celebration of my birthday, let me give you: Lyndon Speaks Site Version 1.07 - The 23rd. Have a look on the new site content, "By Request", and enjoy the same old contents "In Focus" and "Surf the Net". The blog template and layout is still designed by the webmaster (that's me, of course) and is best viewed in Internet Explorer 7.

Okay, I guess its now time for the catching up. I left all of you with last month's blog post about the 20 random things about me. I posted that blog because of the stress at work. A week after that Grandma came back here in the Philippines from the United States. She's here for a visit. Of course, we (the entire Millena clan here in the Philippines) had a lot of trips with Grandma. To name some, we went to Parañaque and to La Union, with a side-trip to Pangasinan. You can imagine those tiresome trips, but let me tell you that those were a lot of fun! Grandma and I also went to Macau (my second out-of-the-country trip). We were there for three days. During the past month, I was also engaged with a project at work which ate up most of my time.

I guess those are enough reasons why I haven't been with you for the past month. But now, I promise you that no matter how hectic my schedule is, I will be here to share with you anything that I could think of. I may be tired but I'll try my very best to be with you every night.

That's it for tonight. I hope that you enjoyed the new site update. As always, thank you very much for countinuously reading my blog posts. And to those of you who are new here, I invite you to read my previous blog posts in the archive corner. And don't forget to subscribe to my blog by clicking on the image located below.

Thank you! 'til next time.

At last I'll be able to say this again (my blog's trademark), which I'm sure all of you longed for:

20 Random Things

Know more about the webmaster!

Welcome back to Lyndon Speaks.

It has been a very stressful day at the office. We should have started the test efforts a while ago but because of some problems, we haven't started anything except for some data creation and a lot of investigations regarding the issues. But I guess, we can't do anything right now but to wait for what will happen tomorrow. Testing efforts were cut down to two days because of what happened today. Anyway, what is important is that we finish testing by Friday and deliver a quality software application to the clients - how I wish the end would really justify the means! hehehe..

To relieve me from stress, let me share with you 20 Random Things about Lyndon Jason (that's me!).

Green Your Routine

Let us all start the greening process in our own little ways.

Hi guys! Welcome back to Lyndon Speaks.

First, I would like to thank everyone who enjoyed this month's site update. I would also like to thank everyone who read my blog post yesterday. Even I haven't posted for some time, you are still there waiting for me to post a new entry. For that, thanks for being a loyal subscriber of Lyndon Speaks.

Before the first month of 2009 ended, some of my officemates and I had dinner at Recipes in Greenbelt 3. It should have been at Gilligan's but since it was a Friday and the 30th of the month, the place was full - even reservations weren't entertained. We ended up eating at Recipes. In my opinion, the meals served were not that great. They were just enough to satisfy my hunger. Together with me were Japes, Niña, Leah, JP, Michael, Tristan, TJ, Zarah (TJ's girlfriend and one of my college friends), JM, Normel, Oche, Rose, Clinton, Luigi, and Vhon. After the dinner, Japes, Niña, Luigi, Clinton, JP, Tristan, Carlo, Vhon, and I went to National Sports Grill to have some drinks (hehehe.). I hope I didn't miss anyone on the list. hahahah.

I guess you are wondering what the title of this blog post means. hehehe. This is the slogan of a television advertisement which encourages people to save the environment. The advertisement I saw features Masi Oka (Heroes' Hiro Nakamura) asking people to use their own cups when buying drinks from coffeeshops. I hope that this advertisement will be seen by people all over the world and will be taken seriously. This just shows that even in our littlest ways we can help save the environment. So the next time you'll buy coffee from your favorite coffeeshops, don't forget to bring your own cups/mugs and start to Green Your Routine.

I guess that would be all for this night. 'til then!

Green on!

My blog is still compatible with both Internet Explorer 7.0 and Mozilla Firefox 3.0 browsers. I also guess that it would be alright for Safari users.

Another site update to have me hooked up in blogging and for you to continue on reading. For those of you who visited my site for the first time, feel free to browse my six-month amount of treasured memories and thoughts. Your Day

It was really your day!

Hi guys. I'm just dropping by to say Happy Happy Birthday Japes! I guess, that's supposed to be a belated greeting. hahaha. Anyway, I have said that to him a couple of times yesterday. :D

Thanks for the treat, Japes. hehehe.

I'm not in any mood for blogging because I'm on an anime marathon today. I guess that would be all for now. I promise to be back and share a lot of things with you. Hopefully, I'm in my blogging mood tomorrow. hahaha.

See ya!

An Enchanted Day

I'm just droppin' by to say hello to all of you.

It has been more than a week since my last blog post. But as always, I never fail to come back. I always manage to keep you posted with the latest happenings in my life and with the realizations that I have.

Nothing great had transpired within the days that I haven't posted any blog. Hmmm. I guess there was one. The Test Team Activity last Friday was such a blast. The whole Team went to Enchanted Kingdom and I think that everybody had a great time. I'll not go any deeper into the details, but let me say that that was one Enchanted Test Team U.B.E.. hahaha..

I guess that would be all for now. Let me greet Niña a Happy, Happy Birthday! She celebrated her birthday last Friday! Happy Birthday Niña!

'til next time!

Enchanted on!

A Start of Something New

Happy New Year!

This is indeed a start of something new. Lyndon Speaks celebrates 2009 with a site update. Let me give you: Lyndon Speaks - Site Version 1.05 - The Upgrade.

This site update offers my blog readers (of course, its you!) a fresh new blog design. After a grueling 3 days of blog designing, and HTML and CSS programmings, I can now say that I have completed my very own blog template and design! Sorry for the delay, nevertheless, I hope you are enjoying the new Lyndon Speaks.

Let me share to you the new stuffs here on my site.
  • Links on the header - the eight body pictures found on the header are, actually, image links. Try to mouseover on the pictures to find out where they are linked (or better, try clicking them. hehehe)
  • In Focus - every site update I'll be sharing with you the must-read, must-watch, and the must-hear. The images are also linked to another website.
I guess that would be all. Thanks to DrewFullerFan.com for the Drew Fuller pictures.

And, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for continuously reading my blog posts. Expect more experiences, thoughts, and reviews coming from your webmaster (me, nonetheless) this 2009.

That wraps up my first blog post for this year! See you soon and enjoy!

Upgrade on!
