Journey

Hey guys! It's the last day of August, the last day of the first month of Lyndon Speaks on its new home.

The past week really was a great week for me. Just heard a great news. Just received a great piece of paper. Just had one of the best times of my life. Yes guys, a really great week indeed. I'll not post why this week was a great one for me, not now. Maybe some other time.

As of now, I can really say that I have reached another turning point of my life. But it was not where I got that really matters, it's how I got there. It's all about what I did to get where I am right now. It's all about the people I am with. It's all about the things that transpired, the lessons learned, and the triumphs and losses gained. It's really not the DESTINATION, it's all about the JOURNEY!

And as I take the road from this turning point, I hope that you, together with my loved ones and together with my friends, will be a part of this new journey, a journey towards another turning point of this road called life.

That's it! It's now time for the callouts!

Japes:
Akala ko hihiramin mo PSP ko over the weekends.. hahaha..

TJ:
Thanks for keeping me accompanied sa bagong pwesto natin sa office.. Good Luck sa lahat!

CMAP Test Friends (Japes, Julius JP):

Callouts

Hi guys! It's really nice to be back!

Hmm.. I'm really not in the mood for blogging. hehehe.. Let me just post some shoutouts to each one.

Japes:
Masarap naman ung binili mo for me.. Hayaan mo, I'll make sure na mailibre tayo ni JP.. hehehe..

ILIBRE MO KAMI HA!!!!

Julius:
Hey! Good luck sa Trace Analyzer.. hehehe.. That was so much appreciated. hehehe..

CMAP Test Friends (Japes, Julius, JP):
I miss you guys! I miss ung mga tawanan times natin..

Angels (Faye, Let, Yel, Tyll, Bby, Lucy):
At talagang kasama si Lucy.. hehehe.. Sayang at hindi tayo tuloy this Friday. Hayaan niyo.. I believe naman na there's always a next time. Yel at Let, thanks for keeping me informed kanina. That explained kung bakit napakatagal mong sumagot.. Iniisip mo pa kung sino kami.. hahaha. Anyway, I hope to see you all really soon.

Comedy talaga?! hahahahah...

I think that's all for tonight! 'til next time.. I hope that by then I'm in the mood to post a blog!

Rest on!

The Aftermath

As promised, another round of Lyndon Speaks!

Want to know what happened after the rough day I had (that was exactly one week ago)? Hmmm. Nothing much. I haven't talked to that person for a couple of days (except if it was work related). Then I realized that maybe I over reacted. I realized that maybe I needed to understand that person a little more. I realized that maybe I needed to understand myslef a little better. I came to think that maybe, in some instances and without me knowing, I had offended other people because of what I had said or what I had done. Maybe that was the case last week. Maybe he doesn't know that I was offended. With those realizations in my mind and after a couple of iwasan moments, as if nothing had happened. We had the same normal chats, the same normal laughs, and the same old friendship which was starting to grow -- the friendship which was almost broken even before it was made. I am really happy that all of those are over. I am happy to start anew with that person. I am happy that I came to realize those many things. A very good aftermath indeed.

That's enough realizations for today!

I would like to greet Leah a Happy, Happy Birthday!!!

The credits: Thanks to Leah for the treat. Thanks to CMAP-Test Team for the chats. And thanks to you, as always! I hope I haven't forgotten anyone. hehehe..

That's it! 'til next time!

Move on!

Thanks Guys, Thanks A Lot!!!

Hi! Another round of Lyndon Speaks..

This day is a blast! Yes, a BLAST indeed. I received (received is not the right term, maybe "found out" would be better) a news that really made me sad the whole morning and half of the afternoon. This is not the right place to discuss what that news was, but if you were in my shoes, "sad" would not be enough to describe the feeling I had. I was down for almost half of the day, but my friends were there to cheer me up (Parang hindi naman ako nasiyahan, nainis pwede pa.. hahaha.. Joke lang..) Thanks to my CMAP-Test friends, I felt a little ok because of them. What made me more ok was the fact that Julius had promised us (the rest of CMAP-Test + Me) lunch this Wednesday. We'll be expecting that! hehehe. But what made my day a better one was the fact that there were these people who were ready to listen to my problems, people who I really trust, people who I can call true friends (Touched ba kayo? hehehe.). After work, Japes, JP, and I decided to ate our dinner. We had difficulty in finding a place to eat because almost all of the restaurants around Paseo were closed (What do you expect? It's a holiday!). We ended up eating at Shakey's Glorietta. Food was all over the table. Niña followed (She had to finish something in the office. We still do not know if that was work-related or just chats about the team building last friday.. hehehe..). Niña just ate a little (maybe a tenth) of what was served, and it was up to the three of us to finish all of what was on the table. We had a lot of chats over the table (Japes didn't talk that much. Siguro masakit na ang tiyan.. hahaha. Joke! Si Japes, sasakit ang tiyan??? Hindi siguro! hahaha..). Our dinner ended with Japes finishing what was left of the chicken, and JP and me finishing the slices of pizza left. After paying our bill, we left Shakey's and found out that Glorietta was already closed. Niña made her way to Park Square and the three of us parted ways at the MRT Station.

This day really means a lot to me. This day, I realized that there are still these people who I can really trust. This day, I realized that even how much pain I feel, there are still these people who can replace that pain with joys and laughters. This day, I realized that no matter how worst my day gets, in the end it would still turn out to be one of the best I have because of people I call FRIENDS!!!

That's it! Tomorrow will be a celebration because it's Leah's day! Also, find out the aftermath of the rough day I had last week (refer to last Tuesday's blog post). All of that in tomorrow's Lyndon Speaks!

Here are the credits! Thanks to Jollibee for being open this holiday. Thanks to Shakey's for our dinner. Thanks to Julius, in advance, for the lunch this Wednesday. Thanks to Niña for the Domino's pizza, that thanks also go to the rest of the QBTB Team. Thanks to Japes and JP, thanks a lot guys!!! And thanks to you, for always listening to what I got to say.

'til tomorrow!

Smile on!

Together Everyone Achieves More

Hi! At last, I'm back!

I haven't posted that much blog for the past week. I have been busy resting for quite a while. Anyway, here I am, ready to share with you the latest happenings in my life and the latest insights that I want to share with you.

So where do I start? Hmmm. Ok. I'll share with you my latest out-of-town trip with the whole Lakeside-Manila Team. We had our team building activities at Subic. It was fun but a little too short. Preparations started out early last week but the peak was last Thursday. Everyone in the office left a little early. During the usual days, there are still a lot of people in the office when the clock strikes 6pm. But last Thursday, people were going home as early as 5:30pm, even the heavy rain didn't stop them from going home. A few was left in the office, that includes Niña, Japes, Julius, and me. Niña and I decided not to go home early because of the heavy rain. While waiting for Niña to finish her last-minute work, Japes and I played Bleach 5 on our PSPs (alright, Japes was using Julius' PSP) hehehe.. The fights were fun. I won almost all of our fights (Huwag ka nang umangal Japes.. Mas marami naman talaga akong napanalunan dun.. hehehe). After a number of games, we decided to go home and be ready for the next day's activities. Friday came, it was my first time to attend Lakeside's team building activity. It was fun. A lot of lessons learned, a lot of new friends gained, a lot of sweat lost. hehehe. The Tree-Top Adventure was tiring but so much fun. We had fun doing the "Superman", doing the one-hour Tree-Top tour, and doing the basic and Australian Rapels. The activities were fun and memorable indeed. The meals served were not that great but everyone could get away with it most especially with the memories everyone shared with each other, and don't forget the pictures everyone had. The team building activities ended yesterday with a shopping spree at Duty Free. And yes! I bought a lot of yummy and mouth-watering chocolates. I wish I could share some with you while you are reading this blog post. Surely, another great and memorable experience in my life.

Lakeside's team building activity this year rests on a simple theme -- T.E.A.M.: Together Everyone Achieves More. And I guess that I couldn't explain more why that was the theme for this year's team building. I hope that with sharing with you the theme of Lakeside's team building you will realize that more things are possible when everyone acts together.

That's it. Let me now roll on the credits! Thanks to Japes for the fun games we had and for that very unusual gift he gave me last Thursday. Don't bother to ask what that was, you wouldn't want to know (especially when you're eating, heheheh). Thanks to the whole Lakeside-Manila Team for the fun team building activities we had. Thanks to the Tree-Top guys. And, thank you for sharing your time with me.

'til next time!

Team on!

A Rough Day

Hi guys! I wasn't able to post a blog for the past days because I was really tired.

Hmmm.. Pero that's all.. Hindi ko pinapatulan ng todo. Pero ung instance kanina is iba.. Sobrang nagtagumpay ung taong un na pikunin ako, if that was what he intended to do. Wala! Nang-asar pa! I come to think tuloy kung bakit sakin humihingi ng tulong ung ka-project niya.. Damage has already been done. And I think that it would be hard to fix this one. OO, masakit. Nagmamagandang loob na ngang tumulong, palalabasin pang masama!

Haaayyy.. Siguro that's enough.

Thanks for listening!

'til next time. At sana ok na ako!

Cool on!

Tabemashou

I'm back!

Too bad that I missed to post a blog yesterday (08/08/08). I experienced some technical difficulties last night. hehehe..

Let me start by wrapping up yesterday's happenings with a blog post. I was late for work (Can you blame me? It was Friday!!! :p). My day at the office started out with the CMAP Team, specifically with Japes. I taught him the basics of using the Profiler and the Trace Analyzer. Lunch came and Leah, Niña, and I went to G4 to eat. We had a great meal and enjoyed chatting with each other. After lunch, it was back to work. Instant messages never ran out except for some time when Arthur had to shut down the network (I forgot the reason, but I'm pretty sure that it was for the improvement of the network connectivity.). Nothing special happened during work. We (Archie and me) had just deployed another build. After work, Leah, Niña, and I ate our dinner at Teriyaki Boy. We had fun answering the puzzle on the table, and most especially, we had fun pampering ourselves with great Japanese foods.

And that wraps up my week at the office. My week can be summed up into three words: LOTS OF EATING! I had some Mrs. Fields brownies, a sandwich from Delifrance, treats from Mc Donalds, snacks and frappe from Starbucks, lunch from Chowking and G4, home-made foods, chicken from Bugong, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and heavy dinners from Ineng's BBQ and Teriyaki Boy!

I guess that would be all. Watch out for some realizations in tomorrow's blog post!

Before I roll out the credits, I would like to welcome back one of my close friends, Ginpao.

Thanks in advance to Ginpao! heheheh.. Thanks to my "eat-mates": Japes, Niña, Leah, JP, and Michael ('til next week, 'til our stomachs meet again!) Thanks to Teriyaki Boy for the title of my blog post. And.. You got it right! Thanks to you..

See you all tomorrow.. Same blog space. Same webmaster.

Munch on!

Taste The Difference

Hi everyone!

My taste buds are really stressed right now. I had a heavy breakfast prepared by my dad, who's really good in cooking. At lunch, Japes and I had some chicken from Bugong. For our snacks, Niña bought some Krispy Kreme doughnuts for the whole QBTB Test Team (Ela, Bryan, Norms), Leah, JP, Japes, and me. And wrapping up the day was a heavy dinner with Japes, Niña, and Michael at Ineng's BBQ.

I can't think of anything to share right now. Nothing much had happened in the office.

For the past days, I can say that I had tasted the difference -- tasted the difference of meals eaten and shared with the best people I call my friends.

That's it.. Surprised? I, too, was surprised with my short post. Oh! I almost forgot.. We (Archie and me) had our 100th build drop for ATI Issues and Fixes! Kudos to both of us!!!

Anyway, here are the "thanks-es". Thanks to Bugong, for our lunch. Thanks to Niña for our snacks (Krispy Kreme's the best, most especially if it's free.. hehehe)! Thanks to Japes for the concern he shows for me every time we cross the streets of Makati (concerned ka nga ba??? heheheh). Thanks to Ineng's BBQ for our dinner and for the title of my blog post. And the never-ending thanks to you for reading this "short" post.

'til I'm in the mood for blogging. See 'ya!

Taste on!
~Lyndon Jason

Maybe We're More

Lyndon's back! (What's with the greeting using a third-person noun?? hehehe..)

Nothing much to share.. I just went to the office, finish some documents, reviewed the documents of the newbies, answered work-related emails, deployed a build drop, tested the Library Widget of ATI, reported found issues on the fixes, deployed and verified the updated build drop, and sent a Test Approval. Not that exciting, is it? hehehe..

Wait a minute! Here's what was intoxicating for the day! The "seemed-to-be" never-ending chats that I had and of course the foods!!! Speaking of chats, I had this chat with this person (Let me put his identity in private. :p) and I came to think the things about myself. There are these things about yourself that you know but others might not. There are those which others might know but you are still not aware of them. There are also the things about yourself that you think you know, but in reality, you are just pretending to know. I realized, that whatever these things about ourselves are, may they be known to us, to others, or we are still about to discover, we are still in hope that -- maybe -- we are more than what we think of ourselves. Maybe there's more... Maybe we're more..

I guess that's enough realizations for the day! Let's now roll on the credits!

Thanks to Chowking for my lunch. Thanks to Niña for teaching me how to pay my bills online. Thanks to Archie (sarcastic.. Just joking! hehehe.. :p) for dropping the build on time.. Thanks to my chatmates. Thanks to Jordin Sparks for her song "Next To You" where I got the title of my blog. Let me share some lines from that song in which I can relate to as of the moment.

Maybe we're friends
Maybe we're more
Maybe it's just my imagination
But I see you stare just a little too long
And it makes me start to wonder
So baby call me crazy but I think you feel it too
Maybe I, maybe I just gotta get next to you

And, as always, thanks to you for reading my blog! I wish that you'll find the "MORE" in you! 'til next time!

Sumptuous

Eioi! It's another round of Lyndon Speaks.

Another day at the office. Another day full of finding and resolving defects. Another day of chats. Another day full of foods. Foods! I started the day with a Chicken Mayo from Delifrance. It should have started with a milk drink from Mrs. Fields courtesy of Japes. But since I was late, he did not wait for me and already bought one for himself (good thing that he did that, because it didn't taste good!). The Chicken Mayo was not that great (considering its price) but its alright, most especially, for an empty stomach. Approximately a couple of hours later, we had our lunch. I had a nuggets meal from Mc Donalds. Nothing special about that. Another two hours had past and I treated my friends in the office with some snacks from Starbucks. Japes, JP, and I had a crepe-like food with chicken curry and mango in it. It really tasted good! You should try it (Sorry, but I'm not really good at memorizing names of foods. Just describe it when you order for it.). Niña had a banoffee pie (Arrghh.. Now I forgot the spelling.. :p). And Leah had the strawberry and chocolate-flavored lamingtons (I hope I got this one right). All of that for a total of 570 pesos. Not that bad! The snacks tasted good and my friends had fun ingesting them.

The things that transpired to me today could be summarized as: I worked, with just the right amount. I had chats, just enough to take me away from boredom. I ate, a lot!!!

I think that's all for now. I highly recommend that you try the chicken curry-mango crepe-like snack in Starbucks. hehehe.

It's now high-time to thank every one! Thanks to Japes for the Grande Java Chip from Starbucks. Thanks to Delifrance, Mc Donalds, and Starbucks for the sumptuous meals I had. Thanks to my friends for the fun times I had today. And again, thank you for dropping by and reading my blog post.

'til then!

Eat on!

Mrs. Fields Galore

Hi guys! A great evening, morning, afternoon (wherever time zone you are) to all of you.

Yes! You got it right! GALORE! It's raining brownies from Mrs. Fields today. The crave for Mrs. Fields started when Niña and I went to Paseo Center to buy food for lunch. We saw the Mrs. Fields shop and were interested with what their offering. At first we didn't buy anything. But after having lunch, we decided to buy some for dessert. I bought a "Peanut Butter Dream Bar". The name says it all! In addition to the delicious sound of its name is its overly sweet taste. I can't stand its sweetness and decided to share half of it with Japes. I tried to finish the remaining half, but the sweetness of the bar made me a little dizzy.. Again, I gave the remaining half to... Yeah right! to Japes, who really enjoyed eating the bar.. Work followed the mouth-watering dessert we had. After I deployed the build drop for ATI Issues and Fixes, Japes and I went to Paseo Center. Do I still need to explain why we went there? It is, after all, a Mrs. Fields Galore day. (Ok, for those who need some explanation, we bought another bar of Mrs. Fields brownies.) I still haven't eaten my share and Japes didn't enjoy his bar (I forgot the name, it's like Mountain something.. :p) as much as he did with his first one (the Dream Bar I shared with him). We only had two bars each for this day. Ok, ONLY is a wrong word to describe the number of the sweet bars we had for today. Have I told you that it's also expensive? hehehe...

That's it for today! Thanks to the two BDO ATMs along Ayala Avenue and to the G4 Cinemas. Because of them, Mrs. Fields Galore will have a second part. Right Japes?! Thanks to Mrs. Fields for the subject of today's blog post. Thanks to my chatmate in the office (JP). Thanks to Cheena for wishing us money (I do hope it'll come true! :p). Remember the conversation below?

Japes and Lyndon (to each other): "Ewan ko sa'yo!"
Cheena: "Money for both of you.. Money for us pala!"

And again, thanks to you for reading this blog post.

See you again on my next blog post. 'til then!

Crave on!

For the Love of Coffee

Hi all! Welcome to my newest Online Home.

It is almost a year since I last posted a blog on my previous site. A lot had already transpired and I guess that it will be too much if I would tell all of my memorable experiences and the "not-so's" during the past year. I think that this would be a great time to start all over again. And I can't think of a better way to start my stay here in my new online home than to have a cup of coffee.

Coffee - the most abused drink of the working class. Some starts their day over a cup of Gloria Jean's coffee, others end theirs over a 'venti' of Starbucks'. Coffee also seems to have become a comfort drink for some. And for others, coffee is just a craze -- a craze ready to end any moment from now.

For the past weeks, coffee became a subject of most of our IM chats and conversations in the office. Some of these chats goes like "Libre naman ng Starbucks.." or "Starbucks na lng. Cge ka sasabihin ko kay Leah.." or "Asan na ung Gloria Jean's na libre mo sakin?" or "UCC ko? Online BDO ah..". Although most of these ended on just punctuation marks and not with the real deal, they were indeed nice chats and took us away from the boredom of the 'idle' times. I can attest that coffee - may it be the drink or just a subject of conversation - will truly wake your sleepy heads.

Our team's (ok, maybe it was not the whole team, but for just a chosen few. :p) week in the office ended with a non-expected treat from JP. And I think that you are guessing it right. Yes! He treated us with cups of coffee from Starbucks. What a way to end the week! Thanks again JP!

I guess that would be it for the day. Thanks to Japes for giving me the Gloria Jean's Coffees paper bag (it should have been the coffee from the store, but the paper bag is alright) where I got the title for today's blog post. Thanks to Blogspot.com for the free hosting of my site. Thanks to Caz (whoever she is) for the CSS template that I used for my site. And of course, thanks to you. Yes, to you who shared your time with me by reading my blog. Hope to see you all on my next blog post. 'til then! This post is a wrap!

Sip on!
