Reasons and Choices

A 2008 Year-End Blog Post

Reasons...

A lot has transpired this year. A share of good and bad experiences shaped me to become the person ready to face the challenges the year 2009 has for me. If that is the only reason behind everything that happened to me for the past 365 days, I guess that would be enough baggage for the next 365.

Choices...

The year 2008 was full of both calm and great weathers. I have experienced a lot and am thankful that I was able to experience those. But during the rough times, one of the most abused excuses known to man never fail to come out: "I just have no choice". Hmmm.. Really?! Life is full of choices. We always have a choice - a choice on what to choose! A realization that I'll surely keep in mind this 2009.

Inevitably, we will be faced with new sets of experiences next year. Some may be better, some may be worse. We just have to believe that there is a reason for everything. Believe that there is always a choice - your choice that could definitely make or break you. And if it does break you, just make another choice - a choice not to lose hope!

Enjoy your 366th day of the year 2008, and welcome the first day of 2009 with a big blast!

'til next year!

Blast on!

Nourish the Kids

The best way to end the year and a great way to start a new one!

Another round of Lyndon Speaks!

A couple of weeks ago, Cheena had given me a great opportunity to share the blessings that I received for this year. By purchasing a Vitameal®, a food designed specifically for chronically malnourished children, I was able to feed a child and help him/her fight malnourishment and live a better life. And guess what?! It really felt good, and it, still, feels good!

With just a little amount, you could also do the same. Let your donation be counted on the number of meals shared every second (Visit their site and see what I'm talking about. hehehe). End your 2008 and start your 2009 with a noble act - the act of GIVING. Share your blessings and become a blessing to others.

Visit http://www.nourishthechildren.com and learn more on how you can make a difference. And let me leave you with Cheena's shoutout: "Lets help nourish the kids!"

'til tomorrow!

Nourish on!

Death Note

Will it be great to have one?!

I'm back! Welcome to another round of Lyndon Speaks.

Better late than later (hehehe). Death Note is an anime which became a hit here in the Philippines years ago (I was still in college when my friends became hooked to this), yet it was only until recently that I was able to watch it. After two days of watching the 37-episode series, I came to know why my friends liked it. Because I, too, liked, or should I say, loved it!

Hmmm. Is it really a bad thing to change the world? To get rid of all the evil in the world? To put justice on your own hands? I guess that there is nothing wrong in changing the world. There is nothing wrong in disposing all of the world's evil. In fact, most likely, people would agree to that. The only difference would be on how to accomplish these things, on what method to use. Some would still want the conventional way - let the right people do the job. But some, like Light, would like to put justice on their own hands - punish the evil, whatever it takes!

Do I need to share what I have to say on this?! On what method I would choose?! Maybe the answer would be no! You may be disappointed with what I have to say, disappointed with what method I would choose, disappointed of what kind of person I am. hahaha. Maybe I'll leave all of that to your imagination!

I guess that would be all for tonight! Death Note - a "must-see" this holiday season! 'til then!

Death Note on!

A Christmas U.B.E.

Friday's on a Tuesday!

Hi guys! It is so nice to be back. After two weeks of being away, here I am, again, welcoming all of you to another round of Lyndon Speaks!

A lot had happened over the past couple of weeks. After the 2008 LTI Christmas Party (which was the topic of my previous post), the team had two busy weeks of software testing. Those busy weeks were the reason why I hadn't posted anything. I felt tired and stressed over the past weeks making Friendster, Facebook, and Multiply the only sites I visited whenever I surf the net (of course, here at home! hehehe). There was also the LTI General Assembly for December where the much-awaited LTI Year-end Employee Awards were given. Let me take this opportunity to thank the Management of Lakeside for believing in my skills and for appreciating the contributions that I had given to the company. Thanks for the 2008 Most Reliable Team Member award!

To top all of the happenings, Japes, JP, Julius, and I had our dinner, our Christmas Dinner to be exact, awhile ago (or should I say yesterday) at T.G.I.Friday's in Glorietta. Spending a yuletide night with these exasperatingly funny (hmmm.. Exasperating is such a strong word. hahaha) people really put the icing over my December's cake. hahaha. We had a lot of chats, laughs, and sumptuous meals served on the table. Of course, light beers were present on our dinner.

Last night really topped the list of the numerous memorable U.B.E.s that Japes, Julius, JP and I had this year. Why not?! It was, first and foremost, a Christmas U.B.E. - an U.B.E. fit to end the year - an Ultimate Bonding Experience worth keeping!

I guess that would be all. I'm really glad to be back. I'm really happy to have shared with you the latest happenings in my life. I'll be back tomorrow for a very special blog post - the first Lyndon Speaks Christmas Post! So, 'til then! And here's what you're waiting for:

Christmas U.B.E. on!

A Party To Remember

Seth, Bong, and Jeh: Thanks a lot!!!

It has been a long time. Welcome back to Lyndon Speaks!

Superheroes and Super Villains united as Lakeside-Manila celebrated its 2008 Christmas Party last Friday at A.Venue Suites. That was my second Christmas Party at Lakeside and my first experience as event committee member. It was really a fun party because a lot were in their superhero / super villain costumes. Many struck their heroic and villainous poses as photographs were taken on the red carpet. Presentations from the different groups amazed everyone (most especially the thing that Archie did, hahaha). Band performances were also a blast. Of course, the much-awaited raffle put a smile on our faces and a frown on some of those who have received the ballpens, hahaha. The inevitable inuman session took place after the party. And after having countless tequila shots, the rest were history for me. I didn't remember anything that happened after I fell asleep at the venue. I just woke up the next day at Jeh's dorm. Jeh told me everything that happened: from how they carried me going to Seth's car up to how the three of them (Jeh, Seth, and Bong) used all their strengths in carrying me towards Jeh's room (4th floor of their dorm, hahaha). All of these made the recently concluded Christmas Party a party for me to remember. hahaha.

Jeh, Seth, and Bong: thanks again for all that you did, and I'm also really, really sorry for all the vomits I gave you. hahaha.

I guess that would be all for now! More exciting happenings, realizations, and thoughts on the following days. 'til next time!

Party on!

Twilight

A movie review?! Hmmm. Maybe not. hahaha

Here's a month-end Lyndon Speaks.

Zarah, YJ, Dan, Cristianne and I watched Twilight last Wednesday. Yes! If you are thinking that we are excited about it, then you are correct. I guess that we are more excited on seeing each other than watching the movie. Or at least that's what I think. hahaha. We had great seats (that's because I had some reservations a week before the playdate). A lot of people went to Greenbelt on the first day of the movie (considering that it was a weekday). It just really means that Twilight is one of the most anticipated movies of the year! :D

I haven't read the book so I don't really know if the movie had met the expectations of the fans. But allow me to share with you my thoughts about the movie. Zarah told me that it was a "low-budget" movie. Yes it was! If you are into special effects, then you'll not be able to appreciate the movie unlike those that you have already seen. But if you are into the story of a movie, then Edward and Bella's love story will truly leave a mark in you!

I'll not make any further comments and reactions regarding the movie. All I can say is: watch it for yourselves! hahaha.

I'll buy and read the book and maybe I'll have a special book review blog post for that. hahaha.

I guess that wraps up November for Lyndon Speaks. See you next month!

Twilight on!

Hong Kong

My first visit to Hong Kong!

I'm back. Lyndon Speaks is once again online!

I was at Hong Kong last week. I went there for a vacation with Leah and Niña. We were there for three days (from Saturday 'til Monday). Shopping, going to different spots, and "chopstick-ing" - these summarize our stay at Hong Kong. Some of the places we visited were:

Admiralty - the place where we rode a bus going to Ocean Park
Ocean Park - a really great theme park; a lot of sea creatures amazed us
Temple Street Night Market - I hope I got the right place. hahaha. This was where we encountered the scary ate (lady).
The Avenue of Stars - where we met Jackie Chan and the rest of HK's finest stars (hahaha).
Jewelry Shop - GOLD GOLD GOLD and less alloys!
Floating Village - the boat ride was not that amazing (but the experience was okay)
Victoria's Peak - we really have not gotten to the peak, but the view was great
Causeway Bay - MALLS!
Disneyland Resort - it is really the happiest place on Earth!
Mong Kok - the Chinese version of our very own Divisoria! VERY CROWDED but a GREAT site for all shop-aholics out there!

I guess that, pretty much, covers our Hong Kong escapade. I know that our vacation was not enough to explore all of Hong Kong's beauty. But I guess that what really matters is the experience that we all had!

I'm sure that this will just be a start of my out-of-the-country adventures. hahaha.

Watch out for the month-end blog post! 'til tomorrow.

Hong Kong on!

A Taste of The New Bombay

Grab a bite of some Indian cuisine at The New Bombay.

Hi all! Here's a tasty round of Lyndon Speaks!

After reading my previous blog post, JP and Julius were surprised that Japes and I had dinner at The New Bombay. I thought that I have told them about that, but it seems that it had slipped out of my mind. And as expected, the two want their taste buds to experience something different, something that both Japes and I had tasted a few months ago.

But before that thought comes to reality, let me give JP and Julius a clip notes version of what to expect at The New Bombay. Hmmm. Do not think that I forgot you. Of course, this one is also for you!

The New Bombay offers authentic Indian cuisine. From the Indian version of the Filipino staple food - rice, up to the wide range of Indian viands (includes kebabs) - The New Bombay will surely satisfy your cravings for something different. The spicy zest added to each dish will definitely spell D-I-F-F-E-R-E-N-C-E in your eating experience. With just a little amount subtracted from your wallet, you can have India at the tip of your tongue. You can savor India's bests at Glorietta 4 Food Choices or feel the ambiance offered at Glorietta 3 (near Gloria Jean's and Hard Rock Cafe).

For an all new spice in your life, try The New Bombay and have a different meaning for the word "yummy"!

Japes and I will surely relive this Indian experience. And the next time that we do, we'll absolutely have it with JP and Julius. hahaha.

'til then!

Spice on!

This Is How We Bond

Movie nights?! Sleep-overs?! Long phone talks?! Nah! This is how we bond: FOOD-TRIP! Bonding moments with Japes, JP, and Julius.

Hi all! It's been awhile. Welcome back to Lyndon Speaks.

I guess that, by now, many of you have noticed that most of my bonding moments with Japes, JP, and Julius involved chatting and EATING. Yes! Eating! We have tried eating on different restaurants - from the ordinary ones like KFC and Mc Donalds up to the not-so-ordinary yet not-so-fascinating restaus like Hen Lin. The four of us also had plenty of talks over caffeinated drinks at Starbucks and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. We also had a taste of Philippines' very own chicken at Bacolod Chicken Inasal. We also had enjoyed Pizza Hut delivery at the comforts of our office chairs. "The Pizza Hut Bistro" and "Hot Shots" - Japes, JP, and I have tried those (too bad Julius wasn't there)! Japes and I also had experienced authentic Indian cuisine at the New Bombay. Recently, the four of us took a long walk from the office and ate doughnuts at Krispy Kreme. And just awhile ago, we all had some snacks (merienda) at Shakey's.

Whew! That was tough. I hope I remembered all of them. hahaha.

Food-trip has always been a part of our friendship. Sometimes we used those moments just to stay away from the stress and boredom at work. But most of the times, those "eating moments" were our bonding moments - Ultimate Bonding Experiences to be exact! hahahaha.

I guess that's all for now. Watch out this weekend for back-to-back posts featuring my Hong Kong Escapade and a movie-review on Twilight. Also, be on the lookout this Monday for the new site update of Lyndon Speaks. And as always, more experiences and thoughts to share with you next month.

So, 'til then!

Food-trip on!

My Peborit

Peborit - adjective. Liked or preferred above all others; regarded with special favor. (Favorite)

I'm feeling good that I'll be able to say this after almost a week: It is another round of Lyndon Speaks!

I haven't posted anything for the past few days for some reasons. One is that I'm very much pissed off with work. I'll not go on with the details. You could ask TJ or JP about it since I always share with them my sentiments - and I really mean sentimentS! hahaha. Another reason is that I was not in any mood for blogging. I think that it is still connected with the first reason. hahahaha. Anyway, all of those don't matter now because here I am, ready to share with you my latest experiences and thoughts!

Favorites! I think all of us have plenty of those. From favorite clothes up to favorite television shows, I guess that there is no one in this world who doesn't have any favorites of his own. May it be as little as it may seem, it can still be considered as a favorite if it is being preferred over others. Some may like the concept, some may not. But let me say that I believe that it is just normal to have some favorites. These favorites of ours add up colors in our lives. And that's a fact, whether you like it or not! hahahah.

During the past few days, "peborit" was the frequently used word in our (that includes Japes, JP, Julius, and me) chats. "Peborit", coined by JP and Julius, means Favorite. The two said that among the three of them (Japes, JP, and Julius), Japes is my favorite. hahaha. I postponed our lunch and merienda during the days that Japes couldn't make it. I always think of Japes before making decisions regarding where to eat. To summarize them all, I don't want us (JP, Julius and me) to go out and have some fun without Japes. hahaha. But there is really no "peborit". There is none because if either one of JP or Julius is not around, I still wouldn't prefer to go out and have some lunch or merienda with the remaining two. Hmmm. Or maybe that is not so true at all! hahahahha. Seriously, the three of them are all my "peborits" simply because they are true and great friends!!! (so cheesy! hahahah).

I guess that's it! I'll not be able to post some blogs over the weekends since I'll be out of the country. hahaha. So, 'til Monday!

Peborit on!

Greening the Mountain

A green way to end the week!

Lyndon Speaks is now online.

Lakeside-Manila had just concluded its Outreach '08. It was a tree-planting activity at Norzagaray, Bulacan. After a 2-hour ride from Makati to Bulacan, we had some orientation about the activity. After some reminders, we had a 15-minute boat-ride (Was it just 15 minutes? 'cause our boat was slower than those that the others rode on! hahaha). The hike came after all were unloaded from the boats. I wasn't able to know how long the hike was, yet let me assure you that it was tiring but a lot of fun! No time was wasted, just right after the hike, we were once again oriented on how to properly plant the seedlings. I guess it took us an hour to finish planting all 500 seedlings (I wasn't again paying attention on the time! hahaha). We had a little rest before we went down to have some lunch. On our way down, some accidents happened. I know that because I, too, had one! hahahaha. But my hurting butt was nothing compared with what Fredo had! Worse, I had to see what happened because I was just behind him and Archie when the accident happened. The activity ended with our late lunch and some cleaning up. We left the place at around 4PM (and now I'm sure of the time! hahaha). On our way home, everyone had to deal with the annoying bus driver. hahha. The bus driver had plenty of worries which included MMDA officers arresting him for illegal unloading and worries on where to park while we buy some snacks! Annoying as he was, we managed to do those things: from unloading some of us on different bus stops up until buying some snacks at Jollibee. After a 3-hour ride, we (at least some of us) arrived at Makati and went home.

I really had a great experience yesterday! I may not have fully understood what the DENR folk said during the orientation ('cause I wasn't listening.. hahaha), but I'm sure that what we did there was something great - great not only for us but most especially, it was for the best interests of our children's children!

I really had fun with everyone!!!

With all of these said, I guess that it's high-time for me to get some rest! I promise to share with you more happenings, experiences, and personal thoughts in the coming days! 'til next time!

Green on!

Bean and Leaf

"The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf" experience with Japes, JP, and Julius!

Hi all! You know the drill. It's time for Lyndon Speaks!

Yes! The four of us had our Friday bonding moment at Paseo Center's The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. It was Japes' idea to stay there and have some coffee and something to eat. We had our usual routine: eat, drink, make some asaran and kulitan moments, chats, and more catching ups! We also reminisced the not-so-good moment that we had. What is great is that after that storm, we still look back at it not to linger on the bad things that happened but to make fun of it, laugh at it, and share what we learned from it (are there any?! hahaha).

My Friday afternoon was a blast and it was definitely another memorable day with:
Japes - my peborit (favorite) (that was according to JP and Julius.. hahha);
Julius - the MIA (missing in action) every dinner/lunch/kainan (but he was never absent in our kainan moments these past days! hahaha); and
JP - the never mind (in Filipino: walang kwenta! hahaha! JOKE!!!)

I guess that would be all for this night's blog post! I need to pack my things for tomorrow's company event (LTI Outreach '08 - Tree Planting / Hiking). 'til next time!

Bean and Leaf on!

The 50th One

Would you believe it?! I have reached my 50th blog post!

Lyndon Speaks is now online!

I have been blogging for almost 4 months, and this night marks the 50th blog post of Lyndon Speaks. So what will I share with you in this remarkable post? Hmmm. I just have happened to know that almost all of my frequent blog readers are male. hahaha. I haven't thought that my personal blog will be a hit to the human male species! I also found out that most of my readers read my blog for stress relief. I have also known that most of these readers remember significant and funny blog posts that I have. They also remember some of my personal experiences - experiences that were very memorable to me - and sometimes they even share what they thought of about my experiences. My blog readers also share their own insights regarding some realizations that I write.

I believe that I have touched people's lives through my posts. I also believe that by sharing my own experiences, my readers get a chance to know me better. Most importantly, I know that I have already made a difference in my readers' lives - and I also know, that includes YOU!

I promise that there will be more blog posts to come. Maybe "50 times 50" times more! hahaha.. 'til next time!

Fifty on!

Fast Lunch

And I mean: really fast!

Hi there. It is time for another Lyndon Speaks!

I still do not know how the catching up, chats, asaran and kulitan, reminiscing the good times and the not-so-good ones, and eating were all packed and done on a very short period of time. Japes, JP, Julius and I had our lunch together awhile ago. And from the looks of this blog post's title, it was really just a Fast Lunch. A 30-minute lunch, fast as it may seem, but a lot had transpired. No time was wasted - from walking towards the place, standing on the queue, waiting for the food to be served, eating, up until walking back to the office (and may I add up the cellphone calls I made to Japes, hahaha) - the 30 minutes that we had were very well spent.

TIME - I guess that no matter how long or, in this case, how short it is doesn't really matter. What matters most is how you spend it! Who cares about time?? When you are with these special people you call FRIENDS, every second is like a lifetime! hahaha..

I guess that would be all, for now! 'til next time!

Time on!

All in the Grill

That's Gerry's Grill... Happy Birthday JP!

Hi all, and welcome back to Lyndon Speaks!

JP celebrated his birthday at Gerry's Grill. Of course, this lunch date was with Japes, Julius, and me. We had another chance to be with each other even though we have different hectic schedules (Are those hectic ones?! hahaha). Leah, Niña, Michael, and Tristan were also with us in celebrating JP's big day! Sumptuous meals were served, as well as... Hmmm. Okay, let me leave that one to your imaginations. hahahah

I guess that would be all. This has been another boring day at the office, another day with friends, another day to remember.

'til next time!

Grill on!

The Ultimate Gift

I wanted to share this inspiring movie with you on Christmas day. Hmmm. On second thought, we are, definitely, now having this year's Yuletide Season. So why the long wait??

Hi guys and welcome back to Lyndon Speaks!

I just finished watching the movie The Ultimate Gift. Jim Stovall's The Ultimate Gift is a story about Jason Stevens (played by my favorite actor, Drew Fuller), a guy whose life has no direction, and how he received the gifts that changed him as a person. Jason Stevens, the grandson of a wealthy man, is one of the heirs of a great fortune. But before he could have a hand on the inheritance his grandfather left him, he went through a series of tasks and tests. He succeeded on all the tasks and tests and got not only an immeasurable amount of wealth but he got what his grandfather really wanted him to have - life's greatest gifts.

After watching the movie, I realized that no amount of earthly gifts would equal those that life offers us - The gifts of work, money, giving, problems, friends, gratitude, family, learning, laughter, the gift of a day, the gift of dreams, and most importantly - the ultimate gift: the gift of LOVE! Learn to cherish these life's precious gifts. Dream on and Love on! Share them and, in your own little way, you can even change the world.

Similar to Jason in the story: I, another Jason, also thinks that I still do not know what my biggest dream is - but like him I believe that I can make others' dreams come true! Life is how you live it, not how you spend it!

Treasure these life's gifts! Grab a copy of the movie so that you would also be inspired! 'til next time!

Dream and Love on!

The Divi Escapade

A tiring but enjoying adventure at the cursed place - Divisoria!

Lyndon Speaks is now online!

Hi guys! As I opened blogger, I found out that I wasn't able to publish yesterday's blog post! So for those who were waiting for last night's post, I'm sorry! hahaha. It is now published and feel free to read it! And to those who are relying on my site's RSS for updates, my sincerest apologies to you as well. I'm still figuring out what seems to be the problem with the RSS. Anyway, these glitches will never stop me from writing my blog posts. hahaha.

We (Ecoy, Shelly, Justin, and me) just had one tiring day at Divisoria. We went there to buy some needed things (decors) for the company's upcoming Christmas Party. Our trip started at McDonald's Paseo Center. From there, Ecoy, Shelly, and I had a bus-ride going to Buendia, then a van-ride to Divisoria! The three of us had an early taste of the tiring day when we had to walk from somewhere in Divisoria (I don't know where that place is) going to Divisoria Mall. We walked because we couldn't stand the heat of the van, the traffic jam, and Ecoy had a business of his own to attend to (hahahha. I guess that I will not share that part! hahah). Justin joined us at Divisoria Mall and the four of us had our 5-hour adventure consisting of bumping experiences with people, walking around (and I mean AROUND) the place, laughing trips, making fun of people, looking for those d@mn3d inflatables (which we weren't able to find), buying the needed things, meeting an officemate (Lee) along the sidewalk of Divisoria, eating, and searching for the lost spaceship (hahahah! Ang bad mo talaga Ecoy! hahaha). After our escapade at Divisoria, we took Shelly to U.N. Avenue for a taxi-ride going to Ruth's place, Justin made his way home (I guess), and I had to go with Ecoy to the EDSA MRT Station (I went with him just to make sure that he would not get lost. hahaha). During the LRT-ride to EDSA, Ecoy and I had some chats which include the fact on how tiring our day was on the, according to him, sinumpang lugar (Divisoria). hahaha. The two of us parted ways at the MRT EDSA Station.

We really had a very (to the nth power) tiring day! Or at least, Ecoy, Shelly and I had a very tiring day. I think that Justin didn't get tired at all. Even though we were walking for hours, he was always the one in front of us and still walked really, really fast while Ecoy, Shelly, and I were left behind because we couldn't even carry ourselves! hahahah. Maybe, he was just prepared for this adventure. hahaha.

In any case, even if we were very tired from our adventure, it was paid off, in large uncountable amounts, by the fun memories we had with each other!

It's now time for me to get a well-deserved rest! 'til next time!

Escapade on!

Beautiful Mess

Is there such a thing?

Hello guys! Here's another round of Lyndon Speaks!

How can a downbeat word, such as "mess", be beautiful?? That was the same question I asked myself when I heard of the phrase. I thought that maybe some messes are not so messy after all. Hmmm. It made me think of the past - were there instances in my life that a certain mess turned out to be something that cleaned my life?? hahaha. Before I get so overly sentimental, let me just say that - YES! - I have plenty of those experiences. How could I forget the recent mess I had with my close friends at the office (see previous month's post - After the Storm). That was a big mess - a big mess which, by the way, made our friendship grow. A mess for some, it is a Beautiful Mess for me! Of course, I have lots of other beautiful messes in my life and I guess that it would take time to share all of them with you.

No matter how messy things may be for you, always think that somehow they will become beautiful messes which you will cherish for the rest of your life!

That's it! 'til next time!

Mess on!

More Than You, More Than Me

It is "US", it is "WE"!

Hi guys. Welcome to Lyndon Speaks. And I promise that this will be a very short blog post.

Now I realize that there is no more YOU and there is no more ME. All there is right now is US! And I hope that WE will stay like this for a long time!

And to keep my word: 'til next time! hahaha..

Us on!

A Little Planning, More Yearning

I was just saying in yesterday's blog post that there are still a lot of time for an U.B.E. part 3 with Japes, JP, and Julius. And guess what.. It was sooner than I expected! We just had one awhile ago!

Hi guys! Welcome to another round of Lyndon Speaks!

Our mini get-together started with a very unexpected YM conference invitation from Japes. That was the first time that Japes started a conference for the four of us. After some chats at the conference, we all decided to go to Starbucks. The same old kulitan and asaran, chats, a lot of laughters, plenty of catching up - these best explain the moments we had awhile ago. Of course, the time spent with each other tops the list!

What we had back then just proved that no amount of distance could hinder us from having some quality time with each other. It's just a matter of little planning and more of yearning - yearning to spend time with people you call FRIENDS! Or at least, that's what I believe. hahahaha.

I hope that I have, once again, inspired all of you! hahaha. 'til next time!

Yearn on!
~Lyndon Jason

A Little Different

Is it?

Hi guys, I'm back!

Be the judge if it's a little different in our row at the office.

Less kulitan and asaran.
Less laughs.
Much space between me and Julius.
Less chats.
Much different sight when I look over at my right.
No more annoying smiles (His smiles were not that annoying.. Okay, maybe sometimes. But most of the times they're not.. hahaha)
No more PSP games/battles after a day's work.

Now, is it just a little different?

Japes' transfer to the other project/building was a little surprising (Most especially for Julius! hahaha. Yes, Julius! JP and I knew it a day before the news came out. Hmmm. Didn't you know?? hahaha). I guess that it's all part of everything (And don't ask me what that everything is, for I don't know either. hahaha). I believe that Friendship is not measured by the distance between the people involved rather it is by how this distance is used to let the relationship flourish. WOW! Am I inspired or just in a mood for blogging?! hahaha.

Come to think of it, there's still a lot of time for an U.B.E. part 3! Isn't that right Japes, JP, and Julius?! hahaha.

I guess the sharings and the realizations for the day are enough to get me go to sleep! And I hope that they are enough to get you to sleep (as well) or to get your day started (to my early morning readers) or even to get you inspired (to those reading this at any time of the day). hahaha. All I want to say is: 'til next time! hahaha..

Friendship on!

Making a Difference

Hi!

Lately, I have known that there are a number of people who are subscribing on my blog posts. How about that? I thought that only 2 - 5 people are reading my daily posts, but in fact, a lot are following my day-to-day experiences and realizations. Besides to that, some of these avid readers are fond of figuring out how my blog will end - what will be the "word + on" for the day. Even if, sometimes, the endings meant nothing, these endings make my blog posts different, worth waiting for, and most especially worth reading for. hahaha

I have already shared 39 experiences, both the ups and downs of my life, through my blog. I have shared 39 realizations - realizations that somehow changed my perspective in life. After 3 months of blogging, after 39 posts, after numerous comments from the readers - I came to think: Have I done something through my blog? Have I inspired people? Have I, through my experiences, help others? Have I made a difference in someone else's life?

I know that I don't have all of the answers for those questions. But I believe that you and the rest of those who read my posts have! If I have already made a remarkable or even a tiny difference in your life, then THANK YOU so much for letting me. And I promise that I'll continue on making a difference in your lives through my own little way - through my blog posts.

I guess that would be it! And here's what you've been waiting for:

Differ on!

After the Storm

It's been awhile! Hi guys!

Backtrack -> an early Friday morning blog post, which was all about the bonding experiences that Japes, JP, Julius and I had last Thursday, was published.

After that post, events that transpired last Friday and yesterday, as well as realizations last weekend were never shared. It's not because that I have nothing to share, in contrary to that, I have plenty but I could not find the strength to share them with you. I was very stressed not with work but with what happened last Friday night.

I was not expecting those bad things that transpired last Friday. I haven't thought that after an ultimate bonding experience, the friendship that was only starting to get stronger will be quaked on its foundations in no less than a day. An event - the details of which I prefer that only Japes, Julius, JP and I would know - happened last Friday. It started out as a petty asaran and became a clash among Japes, Julius and me. Tension was built as Friday came to an end. I was not able to stop myself from raising my voice at Japes and Julius. Even the effort from JP to have Japes, Julius, and me on a single elevator was useless. Tension was still high until we parted ways. Saturday came, Julius had IMed me at YM just to say sorry, but I ignored it. I told myself that it was not yet the right time.

Yesterday was, according to JP, a deafening day. A deafening silence struck our row at our cubicle. No asaran, no kulitan, no loud laughs, NOTHING! I didn't talk to either Japes or Julius and neither did they. I even tried not to have a glimpse of them. The day ended without me uttering even a single word for the two of them.

Last morning, I started a conference for the regression team of our project (that includes Japes and JP). After giving them instructions, JP told us to stop the fight and talk to each other. He told us to say our apologies and patch things up among the three of us. With that little but very meaningful endeavor from JP (hmmm. That was the only instance that I can remember where JP had done a great thing for us. hahahah. Just joking!), I invited Julius into the conference and that was where the storm on our friendship ended. The laughters on our row started to come back and I hope, NO - I believe that in the coming days the rest of the things that add up colors to our stay at the office will find their way back to where JP, Julius, Japes, and I are sitting. One step at a time and all of those will definitely be back!

I know that what happened among us was an inevitable thing. All normal friendships experience that (TJ, thanks for that realization!). I just realized from that incident that these inevitable events might caught us off-gurad, they might come in the least of time that we expect them. We just have to be prepared.

Let me leave you with what I'll do now that this storm has come to an end: I'll not dwell on how these bad things transpired, rather, I'll remember how these bad things have ended, the reconciliations, how it made our friendship stronger, how it made us much closer, and where we are now after all that had happened. Wouldn't that be nice?!

I guess that's it! It's really nice to be back (literally and figuratively!) hahahah. 'til next time!

A Notch Higher: U.B.E. Part 2

At last! I found the time to post another blog.

Hi! If you are thinking that another overtime is the reason why this blog post is published on an early morning, well, you better think again! hahaha. No overtime for me at work, just pure Ultimate Bonding Experiences!

Still remember the first U.B.E. blog post that I had (October 7, 2008)? One of those U.B.E.s was with Japes, JP, and Julius at Starbucks. And last night, we took U.B.E. a notch higher as we had more bonding moments, more kulitan and asaran, and more hours spent with each other.

U.B.E. started at the middle of the night when the four of us decided to have our dinner. This dinner was planned decades ago. Okay, I am just exaggerating 'coz this should have happened nights ago. Yes, we had some dinners but we were never complete until last night. Japes, Julius and I went to Bacolod Chicken Inasal at Paseo Center. JP went somewhere. Sorry, I don't want to share the speculations that we had on where he went and what he did for almost an hour and a half. hahahaha. The three of us had some chats and a lot of asaran moments. Actually, it was Japes who was teasing me all night. hahaha. We already finished our meals when JP arrived. Of course, we waited for him to finish his food. After JP took his final drink, we left Paseo Center. Along our way back to the office, more kulitan happened. The kulitan was between me and Japes. I know that Japes wouldn't do that violent thing against me (Japes, kaya mo bang gawin sakin un??). hahahahaha. At the office, the three went back on validating their modules (They have to finish all testing efforts by today, Friday. Good Luck Guys! hahaha). Kulitan, asaran, and chats weren't off during those times. These U.B.E.s still continued on and on as if there was no way to stop them from coming. hahaha. I think that the four of us almost had a stomach-ache because of the "non-stop laughs" that we had. Most importantly, U.B.E. among the four of us wouldn't be completed if it wasn't for PSP! hahaha. We had countless fights on Dragon Ball. At first, Japes and I were figuring out on how to use super attacks and how to transform our characters into super saiyans. We managed to know those things and JP challenged us for a fight. We had fun during our games while Julius was too busy preparing their report (Julius, once in a while, watched our games and also had fun with us). hahaha. Our U.B.E. ended when I went home. I left my PSP with Japes so that he could continue on with his game.

That's about it! Thanks to Japes, JP and Julius for the shared experiences!

Certainly, a night to remember. Beyond doubt, a bond that grew stronger. Unquestionably, a friendship that will stand the test of time. Definitely, a notch higher. Undeniably, an U.B.E. worth remembering. WOW!!! hahaha.

'til next time! It's now time for me to get a good "early morning" sleep. hahaha.

Experience on!

Tantrums

Tantrum in the morning, tantrum while working, and a night-time tantrum. Do I still need to explain why I chose the title for this evening's blog post? hahaha

Hi there! As always, I'm back!

I guess that tantrum is such a strong word. But I can't think of any that would best make it on this blog post.

Tantrum in the Morning
It was me! I had tantrums awhile ago. I'm very mad at everything, even in simple things. But I got more furious over the OT sheet that was filled up by JP. hahaha. I can't remember what really happened, but I know that a fit of bad temper just burst out from me and I started to drag my chair and I even remembered that I raised my voice at him. hahaha. So angry, wasn't I? But that lasted for only a few minutes. Everything went back to normal when JP told me that he'll buy me Fruitas! hahaha. I still remember that JP and you better buy me one or else more tantrums for tomorrow! hahaha

Tantrum while Working
Japes had his second day of training for the modules that were assigned to him. I guess that both of us are feeling a little bored awhile ago. With that said, the training became a little U.B.E. (ultimate bonding experience) for the both of us. Alright, some might react. It wasn't really ultimate at all. We just had a little (I promise that it was just a little) chat, a little kulitan and asaran, a little catching up, and a little (again, I promise - only a little) PSP gaming. hahaha. That was one heck of a training day! I really had fun with Japes. Let me also say that Ronnel keeps on butting in with his side comments about me and Japes. hahaha. I guess that's how we are releasing our tantrums over work. hahaha.

Night-time Tantrum
Japes, JP, and I had our dinner awhile ago. But before having dinner, our little brother (baby brother - suited for tantrums.. hahahaha) had his own version of tantrums. We should have had eaten and had some drinks (be the judge on what kind of drinks.. hahaha) at Gilligan's. But because Japes wanted to go home early, we ended up eating at HotShots. hahaha. We arrived at the place but JP wasn't still there (he had to go somewhere else before our dinner). I know that Japes was starting to get pissed off. hahaha. He was telling me that he'll go home if JP was still far from the place. He had some more comments but I didn't pay attention to those (I was laughing because Japes was like a child who was having tantrums outside the restaurant.. hahahahha). JP then arrived and we started to eat our dinner. Julius was originally included in our dinner at Gilligan's but because we ended up at HotShots due to Japes' tantrums, he didn't have the chance to join us for dinner. Too bad - another missed dinner for Julius. hahaha.

I guess that would be all for today! Tomorrow will be another day and I hope that it will be like this day - colorful and fun!

Thanks to TJ for being my first contact at Skype. hahaha.

'til next time!

Tantrums on!

Working Smarter

And I'm back!

I have nothing much to share with you. I just had an ordinary day at the office. I had some chats with my friends (seatmates) hahaha. Kulitan, asaran, nothing more. I went home with Japes. And that's about it! That was my ordinary Monday. hahaha.

I just would like to share with you the goal that Brian Corn has imparted on each of us - Working Smarter NOT Harder. Yes! I think that working smarter would yield into more agreeable and satisfying results. Hmmm. I cannot think of a better explanation for this. I'm not in any mood for blogging. hahaha. I just hope that this will help and motivate you in your work. hahahaha.

Just a single shoutout for Japes: Kung hindi ikaw at lalo namang hindi ako ang pumindot ng mga numbers sa elevator na sinasakyan nating dalawa kanina, sino ang pumindot??? waaaaaaaaaa!!!!! Scary!!! hahaha.

I think that's all! Don't forget to wear your thinking caps at work and remember to WORK SMARTER!!! I hope that my "blogging mood" will be up for tomorrow's post.

'til then!

Smart on!

Christmas is in the Air

Is it?! Or better be: "Coughs and Colds are in the Air"??

hahaha.. Anyway, I'm back!

I haven't posted any blog since Wednesday due to the fact that I was not feeling well. I had some rest and it turned out to be of great help. I still have a little of those sneezing and coughing moments, but I think that it will all go away by next week (I hope so!). hahaha.

Yes! I really think that the Christmas Spirit is here! Christmas carols are everywhere. The streets are starting to be covered with enormous and gigantic Christmas decors. Bars and restaurants are fully booked for corporate Christmas events. The supermarkets are now offering Christmas baskets. Christmas countdowns are all over the place. Indeed, Christmas is here!!!

Roughly 10 weeks from now, people will make amends to those they have hurt, people will forget their problems, people will be generous enough and give. All of these will happen on just a single, inevitable day. But would it be better if these will all be done each and every single day that you live?! I guess it's hard, but it's worth the try!!!

Try to make each day the single, inevitable, and most awaited day of the year. Let it be Christmas everyday and see what it can do for you!

I guess that would be all. More realizations and hopefully a lot of funny and special experiences to share with you on my next blog post! 'til then!

Christmas on!

At The Bistro

Hi!

This will just be a short blog post. Because of these frequent sneezing and coughing, I badly need a rest.

This day's morning and afternoon were nothing special. That's "boring" in layman's term. But when the dark came and most of the people in the office already went home, my day became extra special. hahaha. I had a Yahoo Conference with Japes and JP (even we are beside each other, hahaha). Of course, there were chats, kulitan, asaran, and a lot more. Not contented with the conference, we also had live chats, kulitan, and asaran while still having the conference (isn't that redundant?! hahaha). After work and still not contented with the conference and live chats, the three of us had our dinner at Pizza Hut Bistro. Chats and sumptuous meals were served. Yummy! hahaha.

It was really an extra special night - a night with two of my best, if not the best-est, friends I have. Thanks guys!

Here are the shoutouts for this night:

Japes:
Thanks!!! Pahinga ka and get well!!!

JP:
Thanks!!! (hindi yan bukal sa kalooban ko.. hahaha.. Joke)

Jeh:
Thanks sa kagabi! Not who I expect pero salamat parin! Promise! Kilala mo talaga un!!! hahaha

Jun:

As promised, that's it! It's time for some badly needed rest!

'til next time!

Enjoy on!

Monday is Pink Day

Hi!

It's 1:29 in the morning! An early blog post means that I had another overtime at work. hahaha.

I was in pink awhile ago (technically, that was yesterday). And yes, pink was the color for yesterday. When I arrived at the office, I was glad that no one was in pink. But when Grewin and Lovely came, I thought that probably pink would best describe the day. When I went down with Niña, a lot of people were also in pink. And nothing would beat this, Japes was also in pink! How about that?! Seatmates in pink! If that wasn't coincidence, then what do you call that? hahaha. Up until I went home, there were still a lot of people in the street and in the bus wearing the color pink! MONDAY is (or was) really a PINK day!

A shoutout for both Jeh and Alfred: Nakakalungkot talaga ang mga senti songs niyo kanina! Nakakaiyak! hahahahah

I need to rest now (Archie, Elmer, and I went home at around 12:30AM). So, I think that would be all for this day's blog post. Expect more posts in the coming days (provided that no more overtime would surprise me). hahaha

'til then!

Pink on!

Happy Birthday

Hi there!

YES! I would like to greet Kevin a Happy 19th Birthday! I already said my greetings yesterday (his birthday was yesterday) but here I am reiterating them for one of my close friends way back in high school.

I really miss the uncountable galaan we had back then. I miss the times we stayed at home for some chats, music tripping, and a lot more. I miss your company. I miss you so much, Kevin!

That's all for now! 'til next time! See 'ya!

Greet on!

Smiles and Laughters

Hello there! Welcome to my 30th blog post here in Blogspot.

I'm now on leave from work because of headache. hahaha. What do you expect after working for 19 hours and leaving the office at 5:30AM? Well, I miss everybody in the office, most especially my close friends. Of course, being on leave would not hinder me from chatting with the 3 people who I miss above all (Japes, JP, and Julius). hahaha. We just had finished our YM conference and I just had a little chat with Japes.

The things that transpired yesterday weren't new. Overtime became a proverbial word for me. For the past couple of weeks, it was where my so-called professional life revolves. Yes, some of these overtimes were fun, simply because I'm having an extended time with my friends. Yet, most, if not all, of those were very stressful. To alleviate the stress that I'm feeling, I just smile and laugh with my friends.

Yesterday was not so different when it comes to smiles, laughters, asaran, and kulitan. I had plenty of dosage of those from Japes (Most especially. hahaha), JP, and Julius. hahaha. Before the badminton game last night, Japes played Dragon Ball on my PSP. I just sat beside him and watch him play. I thought of resting because I knew what was going to happen that night. I just had a wild hunch! hahaha. After playing, Japes left for the badminton game and I slept for almost an hour. The build package arrived and Mai, Tristan, and I started testing. We had some laughing moments most especially when Tristan fell on the trick that Mai and I had played on him. hahaha. By the way, my hunch was right! We had a very tiring evening and early morning. hahaha. We finished at around 5:30AM and went home right after sending the build notice.

Tiring as it may seem, but I really had a great day! Thanks to the smiles and laughters! Most definitely and undeniably, laughter is still the best medicine! hahaha.

Japes, JP, Julius: I can't wait for Wednesday! hahaha..

'til next time!

Smile and Laugh on!

Crashed

In different ways, on different levels! YES! CRASHED! hahaha..

I'm back guys!

Worn-out - the word that, currently, best describes me. I also know some people whom I would share this adjective with. hahaha. After the numerous overtimes, I think that I'm already crashed. Before, to relieve me from stress, I just thought of the big pay and allowance that I'll be getting from the overtimes. Now, even that thought is not helping me in escaping from the sharp claws of stress. hahaha. Good thing: there are these people who were able to lift these claws and rescue me from this eminent feeling called stress! WOW! Look at what stress has done to me!

A few happenings made it on top of my list of what to share with you this evening. First, Japes is so maligalig awhile ago. I was thinking (for almost 12 hours) of the english word for maligalig, but I failed. hahaha. Anyway, because of him being so overly maligalig (compared to the other days), I can't help but manggigil to him. Waaaaaaa! What's with the tag-lish?! hahaha. I'm really crashed!!! hahahah. Our PSP games also made it on my list. At last, after Bleach 5, I found another game (Dragon Ball) where I can use my very unfair tactics to win over JP. hahahah. Japes continued my game and played against JP. And, most especially, the dinner with Leah and Niña (with Leah's BF - Julius) at Market Market ended the day with a blast. The dinner was great. The meal was sumptuous. We all had a fun chat about some things. hahaha.

Before I crash into something else and can't help myself from typing things that would really hurt a person until his dead, let me now give the shoutouts! hahahaha.

Leah and Niña:
Thanks for the dinner. I really had a fun time with you. Three lunch times din tayo hindi magkakasabay kumain. hahaha

Japes:

Okay! 'til next time! (What an ending!!! hahaha)

Crash on!

Ultimate Bonding Experiences

Hi Guys! I'm back. hahaha..

Some U.B.E. happened yesterday and awhile ago. hahaha.. When I first saw this term, I told myself that I'll never use this because it's so cheesy. But what the heck! The experiences were, indeed, memorable and ultimate. hahaha..

Let's start off with yesterday's events. Yesterday morning and afternoon were a little boring. Nothing much had happened and I was a little stressed and tired because of the non-stop and ultimately long overtimes (U.B.E. overtimes with officemates and friends) I had last week. We had our weekly committee meeting for the Christmas Party as the night was approaching. By the way, Ruth had already sent the Christmas Party Teaser that I made. hahaha. The committee meeting took away the boredom that I was feeling yesterday. Although we were not complete during last night's meeting, it was still a great time for U.B.E. among us. After the meeting, I thought that I'll be having U.B.E. with the LTI Badminton guys. But that did not push through because of another overtime. hahaha. Before yesterday's badminton game, I had some U.B.E. with Japes (I think it was not that ultimate, but it could count as one, this is still a blog for U.B.E.. hahaha). I gave him some of the clarifications he needed for the new project he's in. After that, he played (and I watched him play) Dragon Ball on my PSP (that was the latest game I downloaded since... hmmm.. almost a century?! hahahah). When it was time for him to go, it was the time for another U.B.E. with my "overtime-mates". hahaha. We had finished validating the fix for the issue at around 1a.m. today. The build package was also dropped to U.S. at around that time.

I think that's enough for yesterday. Now, here are the U.B.E.s for today. Hmmm. My day started with some errands. I came to office at lunch time because of these errands that I needed to do. After a little documentation, Japes, JP, Julius, and I went to Starbucks for some U.B.E.. hahaha. We stayed there for a couple of minutes (hmmm.. Were those just a couple of minutes??) hahaha. We had some chats over cups of frappe and coffee. As far as I can remember, that was the first time that we actually stayed at Starbucks together to drink, eat, and chat. A first for the four of us, an U.B.E. worth remembering! Of course, the chats continued at the office along with some kulitan and asaran most especially with Japes. hahaha. To top all of what had transpired over these past days, I went home early awhile ago (This time, it's not literally early! hahaha). If that's not shocking, then what is?! hahaha..

I guess that's enough happenings and U.B.E. for yesterday and awhile ago. Here are some shoutouts to end this night's blog post.

Japes:
Maraming salamat for doing the favor na hiningi ko sa'yo kanina! That was really appreciated. hahaha..

JP:

Julius:
May bago kang game sa PSP?? hahaha..

Jeh:
Happy Birthday!!!

Dhey:
Wow!

TJ:
Maglista ka pa diyan ha! (Alam mo na ung ibig kong sabihin) hahahha.

Okay! 'til next time!!!

U.B.E. on!

And YES! Welcome to Lyndon Speaks' Version 1.02 - Chris Crossed!

As promised, here's the second site update of Lyndon Speaks. This update includes the addition of the RSS button.

Just a few shoutouts:

Japes:

Jeh:
Thanks for the idea on the RSS. :)

That's it! I hope you'll enjoy this site update as much as I do.

'til on my next post!

Overtime

Hi!

I wasn't able to post anything yesterday because something came up, which I will share later. I was thinking to post a blog while at work, but I just couldn't do such because of all the stress and anger that I was feeling last night. Anyway, it doesn't matter if I wasn't able to post yesterday, because here I am, for another round of Lyndon Speaks.

I guess that our day at the office started with a sign that something not-so-good will happen later that day. Yesterday was the time for filling up the Overtime sheet of our team for the last half of September. Japes, Julius, JP, and I filled up our excess times on the Excel sheet. Japes and Julius even had their overtime last Monday offset for yesterday for them to go home early. I, too, did that. But little did we know what will happen that evening. Lunch came and we (Leah, Niña, Japes, Archie, and me) had what was left of the lunch that we had last Thursday. The viands were still great and we all had a great chat while eating on the round table. Afternoon came and me and my CMAP brothers (Wow! So cheesy.. hahaha) attended our different meetings. After our respective meetings, the bad news was brought up by Mai. She informed us that we need to have another overtime for the testing of the merge of the projects. The plan was for us to work today (Saturday), but Julius and Japes would not be able to come. We then decided to extend work yesterday. Cheena informed us that the build will be dropped at 9:00PM. While waiting, Japes played Tennis on my PSP, Julius was surfing the net, JP was nowhere to be found, and I was still verifying the issue to be dropped on U.S. Staging. hehehe. At around 8:00PM (I guess), Cheena informed us that the build will be delayed since there were problems encountered in the merging of the projects. Japes continued playing, Julius and I bought dinner, and JP was still nowhere to be found. hehehe. Mai left the office to work from home and Leah stayed. 10:00PM came and still the build wasn't dropped. JP went back at the office and we played Naruto on our PSPs, Japes was on his desk, and Julius was taking a nap. The four of us also had chats while waiting. At 11:30PM, Mai started a conference and told Japes to go home. Mai asked me to help the CMAP guys in validating the modules assigned to Japes. We said our goodbyes to our little brother, Japes (hahahah), and reminded him not to sleep on the bus on his way home (An incident happened before when the pocket of his pants was ripped off while he was sleeping on the bus.).. For the record, I received a text message from Japes (10 minutes after he left) saying: "thanks! starbucks n lng sa monday! ;)".. hahaha. I'll be expecting that!!! I replied to him and reminded him, once more, not to sleep on the bus. Midnight came, and still no build was dropped. To take ourselves away from sleep, JP and I had numerous chats about uncountable topics. Julius had a sleep on the couch, while Cheena, Archie and the rest prepared the package. The build was dropped at 2:00AM. While JP was deploying the build, we were informed that the build can be dropped on Monday. That was when I felt mad. We were rendering so much time to be able to deploy the build and we found out that it can be dropped on a Monday. I'll not say who's fault it was, but I guess everyone who had the overtime know who's to blame. hahahahha. A phrase to best describe what had transpired: "INSANE BULL CRAP!!!". hahahha. We all left the office at 4:00AM and ate our breakfast at Jollibee.

What a day! Stressful, disappointing, but ironically, it was also fun! Fun in the sense that we had spent time with each other and had some enjoyable moments with one another even at the center of a problem. That's what you call a well-spent overtime with friends! hahahaha..

I hope that something will be done regarding what had just transpired. No! I KNOW that something WILL BE DONE! hahahha.

I guess that would be all for now! Thanks to my CMAP brothers (my older brothers - JP and Julius, and our youngest - Japes.. hahaha.. Nakakasuka sa ka-kornyhan!). Thanks also to Leah, Cheena, Archie, Mai and the rest for the great late evening and early morning we had.

Again, watch out for the new version of Lyndon Speaks coming really soon. For now, I need to get some well-deserved sleep!

'til then!

Time on!
~Lyndon Jason

Catching Up

Hi Guys!

This is Lyndon Speaks' third month here in Blogspot. Again, thanks to all of you for reading my posts. Another month has passed and it only means that another site update will be happening very soon. Watch out for it!

I haven't posted anything these past few days. I was just busy with work. And I mean really, really busy! I have worked for almost 14 hours (per day) last Tuesday and yesterday! You got that right. Yesterday (a public holiday)! hehehe. As much as I like to post something here, I wasn't able to because it was already 3:00 AM when I got home from work. Although the past days were tiring, they were fun because of the people I'm with and because of the pay I'll get. hahaha.

Let me start sharing the memorable things that happened last Tuesday. Hmmm. Were those things memorable?? hehehe. I got back at work last Tuesday (I was on leave last Friday and Monday) and saw my friends after four days of being apart. hehehe. I have proven that they missed me, most especially my seatmates (Japes, Julius, JP). YES! Seatmates! I'm over with the cheesiness of calling us a family. hahaha. They missed the asarans we always have. And, as I expected, a lot of asaran had happened during that day. By the way, thanks Japes for the sweet thought of giving me a banana-que. Maybe not! hahaha. He's not giving me the food, he was only giving me the stick! Wasn't that sweet?! hahaha. The day ended with me still at work. Oh, let me rephrase that. My day at work ended early (literally! It ended early morning!) hahaha.

Yesterday, I came to work even it was a holiday. I had fun at work. Am I? Or it was fun working because of the pay?! hahaha. I also have gotten to know that Tristan has some "greenness" under his sleeves. hahaha. I'm still wondering why he laughed at what I said: "Hindi gaanong nahabaan ni Fredo yan eh." I was just refering to the dropdown listboxes. hahaha. Again, my day at work ended early. hahaha.

What do you expect transpired next?! After two straight days of overtime, I was late for work awhile ago! hahaha. But I guess that this day made me forget the stress and the tiring moments I had. I had long-running chats with my seatmates. I had numerous asaran moments with them. And to top them all, I had some "catching up" with my close friends at the newly opened Starbucks (a building away from our building). Niña, Japes, JP, and I had some coffee and experienced the seats (both indoor and outdoor) of the new Starbucks. hahaha. This time, my day will end with this blog post!

I guess that would be the end of my first blog post for the third month of Lyndon Speaks at Blogspot. Again, watch out for the next site update (that will include a new feature that would help you to track my latest blog posts). I'm still figuring this out, but nevertheless, thanks to: Jeff, now known as Jeh at work. hahaha.

Before I end, this goes to Japes: "Sira na talaga ulo mo!!! Plano mo ba talagang ihulog ako sa upuan ko?! Anyway, wala na sakin ung nangyari kanina. Hahanap na lang ako ng way to get even. hahaha. Just joking!"

Now this is for TJ: "Nagulat talaga ako sa email mo! %$@%^*&%#%! Korek! Minumura kita dahil sa sinend mo! hahahaha!"

That's it! 'til then!

Catch on!

Charmed

Hi there!

I promise that this will be a short post. hahaha. I just dropped by to say hello to everyone.

I'll be going to watch Charmed (again!) later, maybe after this post. I am under the spell of the "Power of Three" that I can't resist myself from watching the eight-season series all over again. hahaha.

Seriously, I think that I am under another spell, a spell called LOVE. hahaha. Sharing this won't matter as of now. Maybe another post will be a great venue for this topic. But let me tell you that just the mere presence of this person is enough for me to fall in love. hahahah.

Just one shoutout for this night:

To the one who put me under the spell of LOVE:
I am CHARMED by your smile!!!

'til next time! hahaha.

Charm on!

Anytime

I hope Japes had a "good night" or should I just say a "good" sleep... hehehe..

Hi guys! Another round of Lyndon Speaks. Better said as - an early round of Lyndon Speaks. hehehe..

I have to run some errands and prepare/arrange some things today. That's why Lyndon Speaks is online on a Friday morning!

I just had sleep a couple of hours ago (maybe a three or a four-hour sleep). And who better knew this than Japes and TJ. hehehe.. I had separate chats with both of them early this morning, and with the time that this blog has been published, it really was, literally, EARLY morning. hehehe. I was at the end of watching an episode of Charmed (and let me tell you that I have 6 more seasons to download.. hehehhe) when I heared the "BUZZ" sound of YM. It was Japes. He was asking some help regarding some server problems. I was able to help him. Hmmm. If giving advice, telling him the consequences and not giving a concrete solution to the problem is "help", then I was able to help. Right Japes?? At least it went okay! hahahah. Not so long after giving Japes an early support for his server problem, there came TJ replying to my aged-old message (I think he replied to it an hour after I sent it.. hahahha). I just had some catching-up with TJ.

I guess that would be all that I could share with you for today. I can't believe this!!! I had shared some things even though it was only almost 8 hours after the day started. hahaha. I guess that there is no better time for experiences to be shared than to share them right away before you miss the chance of doing such.

It doesn't matter how early or late my blog posts are, it's the experiences, thoughts and realizations that matter. And to provide you with ample dosage of those, Lyndon Speaks will just be here, like what I said to Japes when he thanked me: "Anytime"!

By the way, don't mind the introduction for this blog post. I was just hoping that he had a great sleep while sitting. hahahah.

'til then!

Post on!

'Be Missin' You All

Call me butter, 'cause I'm on a roll!

Yes guys! Fifth consecutive day of non-stop Lyndon Speaks!!!

I'm just dropping by to say that I'll miss everyone in the office since I'm on leave up until Monday next week. I'll miss the kulitan, asaran, laughs, and stress at the office. Of course, I'll miss Leah and Niña. I'll also miss the rest of the Equitable peeps. Most of all, I'll miss my CMAP Family (Japes, Jp, Julius). hahaha.. I guess that I'm nearing the point of vomiting because of this "family". hahaha.. It seems that I'll be gone for a long time. Hmmm. Maybe four days is too long if you're with these people for five days a week. hehehe..

By the way, I stumbled into a great news a while ago. I'll share this with you as soon as I have confirmed it.

Anyway, I guess that would be it for now.

'til then!

Miss on!

Finger Lickin' Good

How about that! Four straight days of Lyndon Speaks! Hi guys!!!

Another day at the office. Another day of bug fix verifications and performance testings. Another day with friends!

The title, pretty much, tells everything. hehehe. Okay, for those whose minds are as green as the greenest grass: the title of today's blog post is such because my CMAP Family (I'm sure they'll laugh out loud when they get to read this part. hahahah) had our lunch at KFC. Yes! I had lunch with Japes, Julius, and JP bacause Niña and Leah attended a brownbag session. At first, I thought that I was going to have lunch by myself. But lucky me, I have met these people who'll always be there for me! We bought our lunch at KFC and ate together at the office. There was nothing special with what we ate, but what was special was the fact that we ate our lunch together (hahahaha. Sooooo dramatic!!!). Although the food wasn't that delicious, the experience alone is enough for our lunch to become Finger Lickin' Good!!! hehehe.

Some shoutouts:

Japes:

CMAP Family:
Potek! Drama!!! hahaha. Starbucks tayo kapag nagbukas ung asa tabi ng BPI. hahaha.

TJ:
Pasensya. Nalimutan ko na i-y-ym pala kita after kong mag blog kagabi.

Michael:
Happy, Happy, at isa pang Happy Birthday sa iyo!!!

I guess that would be all for now.

Thanks again to those three people who are always there for me! I really appreciate it! Thanks again: Japes, JP, and Julius!!!

'til next time!

Lick on!

Are You Unique?

Hi!

YES! You are on the right page. You're on Lyndon Speaks. I can't believe this -> three consecutive days of blogging. Am I in the mood or am I just IN THE M-O-O-D?? hehehe. Anyway, it's nice to be back to share with you my experiences and my thoughts.

Nothing much had happened today. Validations, analysis, emails -> I think that these would explain what I did at work. Some of you might think that I just had a not-so-special day. Yeah, you are quite right about that. Hmmm.. On second thought, maybe not. Maybe I can consider this day a special one because of the people who made it such. There were Niña and Leah for the breakfast and lunch we had. There's Japes for the kulitan moments (hmmm.. I was thinking if those kulitan moments made my day special.. hehehe. Of course, they did, they really did!). There was also Julius for his "pinapangarap na lunch" statement. And there were Archie and Mai for the stomach-aching laughs because of the overly-green topics we had (Napasubo lang..). hehehehe.. That's it! A not-so-special day which turned out to be one of the extraordinary days of my life!

Maybe you are still wondering why I chose the title for today's blog post. By the way, this is my first blog post with a question as its title. heheehe. I'm just asking you if you are unique. Maybe you'll say yes! Maybe some of you will say that, in a way, you are inimitable. Some may even point out sets of qualities that they have that others do not have. Maybe some would enumerate distinct physical characteristics. Some may even say that we are created differently from one another. Ok, maybe we are. Maybe we are unique, just like everybody else. heheheh.. Now, do you consider yourself unique???

That's it for now! See you all next time! 'til then!

Differ on!

Let Bygones be Bygones

Hi.. As promised, here's another round of Lyndon Speaks!

This day is not a great one for me. I was not in the mood for any jokes a while ago, and I made that clear to one person. I made him stop joking around and told him that I may not be able to ride on his jokes. He genially stopped. I was very much pissed off. Maybe, I'll feel this for that person for a very long time. Maybe I'll not be able to let bygones be bygones with that person easily. But I know that the right time will come for this to happen. It's just not any sooner than now.

Anyway, thanks to my friends, I felt better during the afternoon. Thanks for the chats, for the kulitans, and for the laughs. I really appreciate those things most especially in rough times like a while ago.

By the way, I now know who's the culprit behind the incident in the office last Friday night (see last Friday's blog post). I got him on his own mouth (just like a fish!). hehehe. I know that you want me to stay longer. Maybe, you just want our family to be together before the weekend started. That's not far from reality, with the fact that you are becoming overly dramatic (and cheesy) the past week. hahaha.. You could just ask for me to stay. I would gladly stay for all of you. You don't need to hide my bag just for me to stay. hahahah.. Seriously, I was not planning to go home early that evening. So I played your game. hahaha (Lumulusot lang.. hindi ko kasi talaga makita ung bag ko.. hahahah). Kidding aside, what you did is nothing. I'll easily be able to forget that. Malakas ka sa akin eh.. But if other people will do that to me, I would be enraged. hahaha.. :)

I guess that would be all for now. I just realized that some bygones are better off forgotten. But it is not easy to just forget, most especially when you are really hurting. Let time do the healing and just let time say "Bygones were already and will forever be Bygones"!

'til next time! See you all!

Forget on!

Say No to No

Hi there! I'm back!

I wasn't able to post yesterday because of some technical difficulties here in Blogger. Anyway, noticed something different? hehehe. YES! Finally, Lyndon Speaks has been updated. Since I wasn't able to post anything yesterday, I spent my time on updating my site. And here it is: Version 1.01: Green Arrow! This new theme is inspired by Green Arrow (if it isn't obvious) from Smallville. At last, a green, literally, theme for my blog.

Now, for today's blog post. I got this idea from the magazine that a co-passenger was reading last Friday morning. hehehe. I haven't read the whole article but the title says it all. Say NO to NO. NO is probably the most negative word that exists. NO is used to express dissent, denial, or refusal. How about that?! So much negativity for the most negative word. But sometimes saying NO is the best thing to do. Maybe the article is just saying to be more positive and lessen the negativities. In fact, there are some ways to say YES instead of saying NO. Instead of saying NO to piracy, we can say YES to original. Instead of NO to abortion, say YES to life. Instead of uttering NO, why don't we say YES!

Let me leave you with a very positive quote: "If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can't, you're right!"

That's it guys! A positive way to end the week! I hope you enjoyed the new theme of Lyndon Speaks.

I hope you'll share with me your time next week for another round of memories, another round of realizations, another round of Lyndon Speaks!

Yes on!
~Lyndon Jason

Flabbergasted

Yes guys! I'm back. Too soon?! Nah.. I'm just in a good mood for blogging.. Thanks to my CMAP Family (Japes, Julius, and JP). hahaha.. I really like calling us a FAMILY! Thanks to Japes for that cheesy thought he had a couple of days ago (see previous blog post).. It had me FLABBERGASTED. And yes, I, still, can feel it. hahaha..

Hmmm. I'm now thinking of what to share with you for today. Nothing much had happened in the office. Validations, replications, documentations, and performance testing -> these summarizes what I had done at work. hehehe. Of course, there were also a lot of Yahoo! conferences with my CMAP Family (Although we are just sitting next to each other, we prefer to talk via Y! Conference.. It gives us more privacy as a family! WOW! And I'm actually living with that idea! hehehe). A lot has also happened when night came. I'm not going into the details but let me tell you that flabbergasted would not be enough to describe what I felt. Right Japes?? hehehe. With all of that said, I guess that I have nothing more to share. hahahah..

Realizations for the day.. Hmmm.. Are there any?? hehehe.. I guess that I realized the importance of having these people who will always be there to put a smile on my face. A smile?? Or should I rephrase it to: having these people who will always be there to put a WORRY LOOK on my face?? hahahah.. Just joking! Seriously, I am really thankful to have met these people, the people who I can really call a family (Cheesy, as it may sound, but its all I can think of. hehehe.).

That's it for now! More realizations tomorrow as I share with you what I read from an article from a magazine that a co-passenger was reading. hehehe.

'til then!

Cheese on!

One Year

Hi guys! After a week of silence, I'm back!!!

Medyo wala kasi ako sa mood for blogging noong mga nakaraang araw. I don't know why I feel so damn bored this past few nights. hahaha.. Wala nga akong masyadong ginagawa every night except manood ng Charmed. hahaha..

This post should have been published last night, but because masyado akong na-hook sa Charmed, nakalimutan kong mag blog kagabi. I just had my first anniversary at Lakeside. Siyempre kasama kong nag celebrate sina Niña, Julius at Ronnel. Grabe! Naka one year din kami. Reminiscing our first day, we were deployed in the different projects of LTI, but after one year, magkakasama na kami sa iisang project. How time flies so fast, sabi nga nila.. I appreciate the gesture, pero siguro I'll deeply appreciate it pa kung nanlibre siya. hehehe. Joke lang! Pero thanks to Ronnel, thanks for organizing the lunch!

It was so surprising that Japes has something like that under his sleeves. Thanks for always being there kahit na lagi niyo akong inaaway. hehehe. Thanks a lot guys! You always make my day complete. WAW! DINNER TAYO!!! hahahah..

Yesterday was another milestone in my life! Yesterday was another start for me, a start for a more challenging career life!

That's it! I guess that'll do it for this night's blog post!

Thanks for sharing your time with me and for celebrating with me on my first anniversary at work!

'til next time! See you on my next blog post!

Celebrate on!

A Wet Lunch Break

Hi Guys! It's nice to be back!

Kahit tinatamad akong mag-blog, my fingers can't help but type everything that comes into my mind and everything that I want to say. At walang bagyo o shortage ng masasakyan pauwi ang makakapigil sakin to post a blog. Kahit pa ang mga nakakainis na sakay ng bus won't encumber me in sharing my life with you. hahaha. Got an idea on what and how my last three days were? hehehe. Seriously, Lyndon really wants to Speak! hahaha..

Hmmm. Siyempre, wala akong maisip kasi there was nothing special in what transpired for the past days. Pero what happened awhile ago is really worth sharing. It was a stormy day. The problem was: one hour pa bago ma-deliver ung food. Siyempre, we can't wait that long, lalo na si Ronnel! hahahah. Enough with that McDo incident. Ayun, pagbalik sa office, tahimik ang Men of ATI-Test! Tahimik lumamon! hahaha. Kumain ako sa tabi ni Japes (by the way, ang hirap i-move ng monitor dun sa tabi niya) and we had a little chat about things while eating.

That lunch was really great! Ang saya! From the attempts Paul and I made to place a delivery order, to the wet journey that we all had to buy our lunch, up to the chats Japes and I had while eating -> a lunch, a wet lunch, really worth remembering!

I guess that's all for today! I have nothing more to say. hahahah. 'til next time! See you around!

Dry on!

The Guys Who Really Made My Week

Another round of Lyndon Speaks.

Ok. I have no idea on how to start this day's blog post. I have been typing, erasing, re-typing, and deleting words for almost half an hour and yet I haven't had typed a single sentence. This only means that I am really not in the mood for blogging. Kaya naman, magtatagalog na ako. hehehe... Not in the mood?! Hindi naman masyadong "not in the mood", kasi gusto ko parin i-share ung mga happenings yesterday at kanina.

The things that transpired yesterday and awhile ago really made my week a memorable one. hahaha.. Bakit?! It's not yet the right time para sabihin ko dito sa blog kung bakit ko sila ni-treat. Pero alam naman nila kung bakit.. hahahaha.. We ate at Teriyaki Boy. At syempre, marami kaming inorder. Parang lahat ng order namin is good for 8 (4 lang kami ha). Syempre may kwentuhan at asaran parin while eating. That lunch was really a great one because I had it with the best people I know, with the people I call friends!

So, un ang nangyari yesterday.

This week's Thursday and Friday are really two of the most memorable days I have. I'll surely keep these days in memory lane for a very very very long period of time. OA na sa kahabaan un ha. hehehehe.

Seriously, THANKS to Japes, JP, and Julius. You guys really made my week!

That's it! I hope that next time, I'll be in the mood for blogging.. hehehe.. Wala pa palang title ung blog post ko.. hehehe.. Ayan, meron na! 'til then!

Laugh on!
~Lyndon Jason

Japes

Hi guys!

Welcome to my first blog post for this month.. Yes, it is Lyndon Speaks' second month here on Blogger. My gratitude goes to you who's reading this blog post. But before the other "thanks-es", here's today's post.

Wondering why Japes is the title of my blog post? hehehe.. I, too, is wondering why! Just joking. Julius and JP might have the idea why Japes' name is the title of today's post. It has something to do with what he did awhile ago. I'll not get deeper into the details but let me tell you that I was stunned by the fact that he did what he told me last night during our chat at YM. I thought that he was just joking with that line: "kukunin ko talaga un, akala mo". But he was not, really was not! hehehe.. I have nothing against Japes. He warned me about that and I did not take it seriously. With that, there are two life-changing lessons I learned from what transpired this day: LISTEN TO WHATEVER JAPES HAS TO SAY and BELIEVE HIM! hehehe.. Seriously, what Japes had done is simply a way of showing that he really means what he says (even if the method used is very stunning.. heheheh). He is really much better than those people who are full of words but no actions, better than those people who'll let you believe in something that's not going to happen, better than some of the people I know...

There is no finer title for this day's blog post than that of my friend's name. Japes -- a man of his word. Japes -- just being true to what he says. Japes -- a crazy friend. hehehe.. I was just joking with the last one (Am I?! hehehe).

I guess that's enough realizations for this day. And now, here are the callouts.

Japes:

CMAP-Test Friends (Japes, Julius, JP):

Angels (Yel, Tyll, Faye, Let, Bby, Lucy):
Thanks sa greetings! I really appreciate it!

HS Close Friends (Zarah, YJ, Dan, Apollo, Francis, Zhaine):
This is it! Malaking burger ito! Malapit na ang birthday ni Dan! Saan ang fiesta?! hehe. Zhaine, umuwi ka na nga! hehe

That's it for the callouts. Now, here are the thanks-es, as promised.

Thanks to my CMAP-Test Friends. Thanks to Niña and Leah. Thanks to my Angels (Yel, Tyll, Faye, Let, Bby, Lucy). And thanks to my HS Barkada! I know that you know why I thank you guys! And as always, thanks to everyone who's reading my posts for the past month!

That's for the thanks-es. Watch out for the new site updates anytime this week! You can also re-visit the posts I had for last month (August 2008). Just click on the archive link found at the right side of the page for the month of August 2008 and have a time to look back at my experiences and realizations.

I guess that wraps up this first blog for the month of September 2008. 'til on my next blog!

Say on!

Journey

Hey guys! It's the last day of August, the last day of the first month of Lyndon Speaks on its new home.

The past week really was a great week for me. Just heard a great news. Just received a great piece of paper. Just had one of the best times of my life. Yes guys, a really great week indeed. I'll not post why this week was a great one for me, not now. Maybe some other time.

As of now, I can really say that I have reached another turning point of my life. But it was not where I got that really matters, it's how I got there. It's all about what I did to get where I am right now. It's all about the people I am with. It's all about the things that transpired, the lessons learned, and the triumphs and losses gained. It's really not the DESTINATION, it's all about the JOURNEY!

And as I take the road from this turning point, I hope that you, together with my loved ones and together with my friends, will be a part of this new journey, a journey towards another turning point of this road called life.

That's it! It's now time for the callouts!

Japes:
Sabi kasi nila dun, masarap daw.
